Florida
March 3, 2025 - March 8, 2025
SOLD OUT
May 12, 2025 - May 17, 2025
This tour is unique in how we will photograph Florida’s amazing birds. The objective will be to come home with high quality and memorable images of many of Florida’s most iconic birds. We will not shoot from any raised boardwalks and we will not stand on any jetties. Instead we will spend time creating more intimate eye level photos in beautiful habitats. We will have plenty of opportunities to create large in frame classic portraits as well as smaller in frame photos. We will also spend time capturing flight shots of many of these species.

The Great Salt Lake and surrounding environments are some of the most spectacular settings for bird photography that I have ever visited. Snow capped mountains are in every direction and there are an abundance of birds and habitats to photograph in. The Great Salt Lake can be filled with Avocets, Eared Grebes, Willets and Black-necked Stilts, but this is just the start of your photographic journey at this location. Utah is rich in bird life and we will be spending time photographing in a multitude of habitats. From the Great Salt Lake to nearby marshes, to expanses of sagebrush and to the top of the mountain, each location will bring a new set of birds and new types of photographs to create.

New Mexico, 2026
January 12 - January 17, 2026
Winter in New Mexico is an amazing place for bird photography. We will spend time with thousands of Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese that we will photograph against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. We will visit some ponds that hold up to 10 species of waterfowl, many of which are tame and easily approached. The desert and juniper forests in the foothills have many species of resident songbirds as well. Join me for an unforgettable trip photographing the birds of New Mexico.
